Being a lifelong resident, Anita Petersen is knowledgeable about SoCal’s beachside communities. She is passionate in the meaning of “home” as the foundation of security, peace, community, fond memories, fun times, financial stability and all of the good feelings that the word “home” represents. Anita enjoys getting actively involved in the Channel Islands Harbor community; she is an avid boater and hosts, with her husband, many local events throughout the year including wine tastings, group dinners and theme parties, boat trainings, Women on the Water Seminars and progressive dinners by boat. As a real estate professional, Anita specializes in residential properties by the water: harbor and beach, dock homes, vacation or second homes, investment properties, turn-key to fixer-uppers, and vacant lots by the sea. She has a special interest in harbor homes with dock access.
Particularly knowledgeable of the Channel Islands Harbor and surrounding areas, Anita enjoys leading prospective home owners on an exploration of the local communities and working closely with potential home sellers to assess market trends and property values. A very social person, Anita is naturally a keen listener and devoted to helping her clients meet their real estate needs and goals. Her friendly, go-getter personality makes working together on real estate transactions a pleasant and exciting experience.
A focused, goal-oriented mindset has always been the common thread through all of Anita’s business dealings. Her professional career includes more than 25 years as a manager for some of the largest boat dealerships in the country. Anita is currently a licensed CA yacht broker, selling boats and yachts all over the world. She excels in customer service and sales, and as a result she has earned a reputation as one of the top boat and yacht salespeople in the United States for more than 15 years. Anita takes care of her home sellers and buyers in the same professional, fun manner as she has throughout all of her career as a yacht broker.
A SoCal native, Anita invests back into her community through volunteer and support efforts for many non-profits, including the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ventura County, Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita, Boy Scouts of America, International Seakeepers, Channel Islands Gulls, Channel Islands Maritime Museum, the Special Olympics of Ventura County, and several other local charities where she and her husband donate their boat for fundraising events all with the intention of strengthening their community. In addition to real estate sales, Anita is the President of Valkyrie Yachts, which specializes in new and pre-owned boat sales, trainings and boat ownership incidentals.
