Nestled in between Camarillo and Moorpark, the town of Somis has a small town charm. This town was established in 1892, started as mostly an agricultural community. After World War II the town expanded slightly when a school was built providing a sense of community for the larger rural area.
Somis Road is the main road that runs in a north-south direction through the middle of the town. This road is lined with a few shops and other business. Somis is still primarily an agricultural area but is home to a fire station, hardware store, market known as the Somis Market, post office, small animal hospital, and numerous estates and ranches.
For entertainment in Somis, there is the Hartley Botanica Gardens, the Underwood Family Farms where you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables as well an animal center, and the Saticoy Country Club. Experience this small town charm like nowhere else in the area.
